Norman Pape began teaching in 1962 at PS 99 in Manhattan and retired from Manhattan’s Academy of Environmental Science in 1996. He was known to be a dedicated and voracious reader of history and literature and a member of many book clubs in his later years. Norman is survived by wife, Edith, and sons, David and Andrew.
