Lila Goodman was an English teacher at John Dewey and South Shore high schools in Brooklyn.
After her retirement in 1991, Goodman continued teaching as a substitute. She was an avid theatergoer and supporter of the arts, and loved traveling all over the world with her children and grandchildren.
